A Look at European Heritage Day Events in Northern Ireland – September 2024

You may not have yet heard about the ‘European Heritage Days’ events, but now that you have, mark your calendars to enjoy some great days out and experiences in Northern Ireland on September 14th & 15th, 2024. An initiative launched by the Council of Europe back in 1995, one of its main aims is to open doors to several monuments and sites around Europe for all its citizens to enjoy free of charge.

This year, Northern Ireland will open the doors of more than 260 of our best loved historic buildings, landmarks and hidden gems to the public, for all to enjoy. There will be several other events running, live entertainment and a packed schedule to reference if you are looking for inspiration. It’s a cliché but there simply is something for everyone, so why not pack a bag, head off for the weekend and join for a great break away.

Our apartments, bungalow and townhouses are scattered across the Newcastle region, offering ample choices of places to rest your head after a great day of learning and activity.
